FAQ’s
How do we collect our feathers?
Birds go through a natural moulting process every year in which the feathers of the previous year are replaced by new ones. The 'old' feathers that the birds naturally shed are then collected and washed. These feathers come from (domesticated) bird keepers and breeders, mainly from the EU and UK. Availability is therefore limited per year and the selection changes regularly. Never wait too long to purchase as they go very quick, when ther’re out of the assortiment it can be you have to wait a year or longer for new specimens.
In addition, a small part of the feathers are also obtained from licenced gamekeepers through game management (EU, UK), in compliance with wildlife conservation laws.
